The children have been very busy learning about important fair trade issues during this Fairtrade Fortnight including:

* Fair Pay for Bananas
*Child Labour
*Climate change
* Tea production
* Fair Trade products
* Supermarket Stocks of FT products

Our families joined us today to celebrate our learning and achievements and to allow us to share our learning about Fair Trade with the rest of our school community.
We are grateful to all the parents and friends of the school who joined us for our Fair Trade breakfast themed Coffee Morning.

P1/2 and P2/3 entertained us with a special banana song

P5/6 presented their learning about Climate Change

P6/7 gave examples of where Fair Trade products are farmed and discussed why FT products are a little more expensive.

P4/5 provided a demonstration of making FT Lemonade and fed the hungry visitors with their handmade FT coconut cupcakes and FT Banana loaf, all to great reviews. You will find the recipes for the FT goodies on the P4/5 page. Happy cooking and remember- Fair Trade helps pay for enough food, education, homes, clothes and clean water for some of the world’s poorest workers and farmers.image
