On the 18th September, Miss Black (our P4/5 teacher) will be going to Malawi to work in Ngumbe Primary School for a month. She will be taking part in Glasgow City Council’s Malawi Leaders of Learning (MLOL) Charity Programme which aims to improve education in Glasgow and Malawi. Miss Black will be demonstrating teaching strategies and focusing on the development of literacy skills using the MLOL school library. In order to help improve education at Ngumbe, we are raising money to purchase classroom equipment such as chalk boards and library books. We have planned the following events to raise money for this cause and hope that you will support us with your usual generosity. Thank you for your kindness!

Friday 11th September- Wear Your Own Clothes Day- children can bring £1 to school and wear their own clothes instead of uniform.

Thursday 17th September- Malawi Day- Stalls including cake and candy, toast and juice, toys, books and a raffle with prozes such as footballs, McGhee’s goodie boxes, a racecar track and many more.
